Visual Communications (Flashing Light)

Demonstration of the ability to read Morse Code sent by flashing light is required by STCW
(Standards for Training and Certification for Watchstanders) for inspected licenses greater 200
fishing vessel licenses.

To prepare for a flashing light course it is recommended that you memorize
Morse Code (click to
view or download Morse Code).

Freelance Software markets an inexpensive software program for studying Morse Code and
preparing for the Flashing Light exam through
Hawspipe.net called "Blinking Light".
